Overview

The visual axioms cover the parts of the look-and-feel that survive across every Round Online product — typography stacks, colour use, spacing rhythms, motion, and the editorial restraint that defines the studio.

A small set is already operating. The rest is being derived as 3Chess and the first stories settle into their final form. The system will be locked once the first launch ships.

Working principles (paraphrased — not yet formally numbered)

  • Light is the brand. No automatic dark mode. Identity is consistent across devices and contexts.
  • One focal point per screen. No competing UI surfaces. The board is the visual centre on game pages; the prose is the centre on writing pages.
  • Minimum readable size · 12 px. No information lives below this threshold.
  • Italic is a poetic accent. Reserved for a single moment per page — never used for utility text.
  • Tables, lists, and meta blocks share the same rhythm. Spacing is built on an 8 px base scaled along φ.

What this page becomes

Once the system is named and numbered (V1, V2, …), each axiom will appear here with its statement, derivation, and version. The status will move from in progress to locked.

Coming soon — the full system is being prepared during the 3Chess launch.
